According to the Lagos State Police Command, a man has been arrested for allegedly forcing his 47-year-old younger brother to the brink of death.
This was verified on Saturday by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Command, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Hundeyin, a man whose identity was withheld reported the matter to the police on August 24 at roughly 6.40 a.m.
He stated the man had reported that on August 23, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Ayodeji Busari, a resident of Lagos’ Iba neighbourhood, was accused of pushing his 47-year-old younger brother—whose name was left out—into the street.
According to Hundeyin, during a fight, the suspect allegedly shoved his younger brother, causing him to strike his head on the pavement.
“The victim lost consciousness and was sent to Igando General Hospital for treatment; however, the attending physician subsequently declared the patient deceased.
“The corpse was taken and placed at Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba for autopsy after the detectives examined the spot and took pictures.
He declared, “The State Criminal Investigation Department Panti-Yaba will receive the case file and suspect for further investigation.”
