Man Kills Own Son With Cutlass

A man named Christian Alisigwe, 35-years of age was arrested by the Authorities, before being handed over to the Police For allegedly killing his four-year-old son in Ihite, Azia in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to neighbors and eyewitness, Mr. Alisigwe used a cutlass to kill his own son, named Ebubechukwu Alisigwe and buried the innocent boy corpse in a shallow grave at his compound, for reason best known to him, as investigations is still ongoing.

Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident and said the corpse has been exhumed and deposited at nearest mortuary for autopsy after he was confirmed long dead by a medical doctor.

He said: “On the 9/07/2020, At about 3:21:pm, on 9 July, 2020. Police operatives deployed at Azia Police Station arrested one Mr. Christian Alisigwe, Male, aged 35-years old of ihite Azia in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.

“ The Suspect who confessed he alleged used a cutlass to kill his own biological son in cold blood; names are Ebubechukwu Alisigwe, 4-years old of the same address and buried the corpse in a shallow grave at his compound.

“Meanwhile, Ihiala Police division visited the scene and exhumed the corpse and deposit the lifeless body at Abam mortuary for autopsy after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.

“Mr. Alisigwe is currently at the State CID Awka, for further and more discreet investigation, to give justice to the deceased boy.”
