Onyeka Onwenu, a legendary music icon, was laid to rest in Lagos.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Onwenu, also known as the “Elegant Stallion”, died on July 30 after falling during an event.
The funeral service took place on Friday at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, followed by a private burial ceremony at Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi.
Family, friends, and well-wishers paid their final respects as the late singer’s coffin was lowered to the grave.

They recognized their mother as a national treasure who changed many people’s lives through her music and other works.
NAN reported that important figures like Peter Obi, a former presidential contender, and Governor Alex Otti of Abia, among others, attended the funeral.
