Lagos captures 25 hoodlums who attacked cars on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
According to Abdulraheem, the agency conducted initial surveillance in the searched area.
The Lagos State Task Force on Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit has announced the arrest of 25 suspected hoodlums who allegedly attacked motorists on the Lekki–Epe Expressway.
According to Abdulraheem, the suspects were apprehended following an operation that included stops at strategic places such as Chisco Roundabout, Elegushi, Ikate Roundabout, and Marwa Bus Stop.
He stated that the operation was taken out in response to a series of complaints submitted by concerned motorists and residents via the agency’s feedback systems.
According to him, the individuals observed an alarming upsurge in criminal activities, particularly during rush hour, when hoodlums hide in inconspicuous places along
the expressway to target unwary pedestrians and drivers.
“We cannot allow these criminals to hold our citizens captive in their communities.
“The state administration is unwavering in its commitment to protecting lives and property.
“This operation is a testament to our unwavering dedication to this cause,” the spokesperson stated.
According to Abdulraheem, the agency conducted initial surveillance in the searched area.
He stated that they observed the miscreants using the pedestrian bridges at the Ikate and Marwa Bus Stops to detect broken-down automobiles and attack their occupants.
He urged motorists and residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the agency or the nearest police station.
